The Horse Auction industry must change. It’s nice to tell a buyer, “Never buy a horse sight unseen or from an online auction!”, but then, what is a Buyer’s option? And why should Sellers have to pay exorbitant fees or commissions just to sell their horse?
It is extremely difficult for anyone who isn’t a professional in the horse world to search out a wide variety of horses to see, touch, and ride IN PERSON.
Can you drive to all the local auctions, barns, Breeders, or backyards looking for that one special horse of a particular breed, conformation, health, size, age, temperament, and training?
That would take weeks, months, or years and thousands of dollars. ONLINE auctions are the only way you can be in many places at once.
Flat Fee Horse Auction believes online auctions CAN be a good place to purchase horses, but NOT the way they operate now. We hope to change the auction industry to make the horse purchase experience fair, trustworthy, less stressful, and enjoyable. We are the Better Way because we have NO up-front medical expenses or Commissions for Sellers and NO fear of buying a Misrepresented horse that you are now “stuck with.” Sellers just create good, honest, current videos and photos, answer Buyer’s questions, and allow for a Post-Sale Exam by a veterinarian. Buyers just bring a desire for a good horse and the money to buy it today!
What we are creating at Flat Fee Horse Auction will discourage the dishonest horse Sellers from listing here. We are attracting the Honest horse sellers and not charging any commission; only a low flat fee combining the benefits of Classified Ads/Private Sales and Auctions. We are only interested in bringing fairness back to the horse buying world. If our listing criteria makes a dishonest Seller uncomfortable, that’s ok. It means that the Sellers we DO have here are confident in their horse, honest about the known condition, are looking for a fair price, and want a fast transaction with the least amount of stress and anxiety.
To that end, we have set up some great incentives link for fair and trustworthy Sellers to list their horses here to a broader base of “Ready-Now” Buyers looking for some accountability and honesty.
